A Little Extra Support For Your Skin

Healite II is a professional LED light therapy system that uses specific wavelengths of light to support skin health without intentionally damaging the skin.

Unlike lasers and resurfacing treatments, Healite II uses a process called photobiomodulation, in which light interacts with cellular processes involved in tissue response.

At The Infirmary, we incorporate Healite II into selected skin treatments and recovery plans, and it can also be offered as a standalone treatment when appropriate.

How It Works.

The Power of LED Light

Healite II delivers low-intensity LED light to the treatment area. Depending on the device configuration, red light at 633 nm and near-infrared light at 830 nm can be used for different photobiomodulation protocols.

Unlike resurfacing lasers, LED treatment does not intentionally create thermal injury or remove the skin's surface.

Why We Love It.

Supporting Skin at Every Stage

Healite II allows us to incorporate light therapy into a treatment plan without adding another resurfacing procedure.

Its versatility makes it a useful complement to selected laser treatments, microneedling and chemical peels. It can also be incorporated into routine skin maintenance when appropriate.

We love that it gives us another way to support the skin while keeping the treatment experience comfortable and straightforward.

Your Healite Treatment

Inside Your LED Treatment

Your appointment begins with a brief assessment to confirm that LED therapy is appropriate for your skin and treatment goals.

You'll relax beneath the LED panel while the selected light protocol is delivered. The treatment is non-invasive and generally comfortable, with no needles, exfoliation or intentional surface injury.

If Healite II is being used alongside another procedure, your provider will determine the appropriate timing and protocol.

The Things You Actually Want To Know.

Below are a few common details about our healite treatment. Have a specific question? Reach out to us anytime and we'll be happy to help.

Is there any downtime?

Standalone Healite II treatment typically requires no recovery period. If it's combined with another procedure, you'll still need to follow the recovery instructions for that treatment.

Does It Hurt?

Treatment is generally comfortable. LED therapy does not involve injections, suction or resurfacing.

When Will I See Results?

The response depends on why LED therapy is being used. Some patients may notice temporary improvements in skin comfort, while skin-quality goals generally require repeated treatments. Results are not guaranteed.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

Treatment frequency depends on your goals and whether Healite II is being used independently or alongside another procedure. Your provider will recommend an appropriate schedule.

Important Considerations

Although Healite II is non-invasive, it may not be suitable for everyone. Photosensitivity, certain medications, medical conditions and concerns involving the treatment area should be reviewed before proceeding.

Appropriate eye protection and manufacturer-recommended treatment protocols must be followed.

LED therapy does not guarantee faster healing or eliminate the risks and downtime associated with another procedure. Your provider will assess whether it is appropriate for your treatment plan.
