Glacial Glide.

Cool down your recovery

What is Glacial Glide?

Glacial Glide is a controlled cooling treatment designed to calm the skin and make the post-treatment experience a little more comfortable.

Using the Glacial Rx system, Glide delivers continuous, precision-controlled cooling across the treatment area to help reduce heat, redness, swelling and discomfort following select procedures.

At The Infirmary, we use Glacial Glide as an add-on when your skin could benefit from a little extra attention after treatment.

Why Add A Glacial Glide?

Instant Post-Treatment Relief

Some treatments intentionally create heat or inflammation in the skin. Glacial Glide gives us a way to cool things down afterwards.

We may recommend it to help with:

Heat + Discomfort
Cooling can provide relief when the skin feels hot or uncomfortable immediately following treatment.

Redness
Glacial Glide can help temporarily reduce visible post-treatment redness.

Swelling
Controlled cooling can help manage temporary inflammation and swelling following select procedures.

Post-Treatment Comfort
Sometimes the biggest benefit is simply making those first few minutes after a procedure feel significantly better.

Clinical studies of Glacial Rx cryomodulation following non-ablative fractional and pulsed-dye laser treatments found reductions in pain and inflammatory responses including erythema and edema.

How Does it Work?

Designed for Your Comfort

Glacial Glide uses Cryomodulation® technology to deliver controlled cooling at a precise temperature for a set period of time.

Rather than using an ice pack or uncontrolled cold, the Glacial Rx handpiece moves across the treatment area while maintaining consistent cooling.

The goal is simple: take some of the heat out of the treatment experience.

When do we use it?

Glacial Glide can complement a number of treatments where heat, redness, swelling or discomfort may be expected.
