Medical Weight Management.
Medical Support for The Goal That’s Rarely Simple
Weight management is influenced by far more than willpower. Genetics, hormones, medications, health conditions, sleep, nutrition, activity and other factors can all affect weight and the way our bodies respond to weight-loss efforts.
Our Medical Weight Management Program provides Nurse Practitioner-led, evidence-based care with ongoing medical oversight, monitoring and individualized adjustments.
When prescription medication is appropriate, it becomes one part of a broader medical plan; supported by assessment, laboratory monitoring, follow-up and nutrition recommendations.
Start With The Whole Picture.
Personalized Treatment Planning
Your program begins with a comprehensive 60-minute consultation with our Nurse Practitioner.
We’ll discuss your medical and weight history, current medications, previous approaches to weight management, nutrition, activity, relevant symptoms and your individual goals.
Baseline bloodwork is included to help assess your overall health and identify factors that may influence treatment.
From there, we’ll determine whether prescription weight-management medication is appropriate and develop an individualized plan.
A consultation does not guarantee a prescription. If your assessment identifies something that requires further investigation or a different approach, we’ll discuss the appropriate next steps.
Medication is one tool. Not The whole program.
Tailored Prescriptions for Your Health Profile
For eligible patients, prescription medication may be incorporated into the treatment plan.
Options may include medications that act on GLP-1 and/or GIP pathways, which are involved in appetite, satiety and glucose regulation.
The medication recommended—if any—depends on your medical history, current medications, contraindications, treatment goals, response, tolerability and access.
Dose adjustments are made according to your individual response and the prescribing guidance for your medication. The goal is not simply to reach the highest dose; it is to find an approach that is appropriate, effective and tolerable for you.
What ongoing care actually looks like.
Regular Check-Ins to Keep You on Track
This isn’t a prescription and a “see you next year.”
Throughout your 12-month program, complimentary follow-up appointments are available when you need them.
These visits give us an opportunity to assess your response to treatment, discuss side effects or concerns, review progress, make clinically appropriate medication adjustments and revisit your goals.
At approximately six months, repeat bloodwork provides another opportunity to monitor your health and make changes when indicated.
Your treatment plan can evolve as you do.

Who May Benefit.
COMPREHENSIVE CLINICAL EVALUATION
Medical weight management may be appropriate for some adults living with overweight or obesity, particularly when weight is affecting health or previous approaches have not resulted in sufficient or sustainable improvement.
Prescription medication isn’t appropriate for everyone.
Your NP will review your medical and family history, medications, relevant laboratory results and other factors before determining whether treatment can be safely prescribed.
Sometimes the most appropriate first step is further investigation or management of another health concern before focusing on weight.

THE THINGS YOU ACTUALLY WANT TO KNOW.
Below are a few common details about our Medical Weight Management program. Have a specific question? Reach out to us anytime and we'll be happy to help.
Will I automatically receive a GLP-1 medication?
No. These are prescription medications and require an appropriate clinical assessment. The decision to prescribe, and which medication to consider, is individualized.
How often will I see the Nurse Practitioner?
Your initial consultation is 60 minutes. After that, complimentary 15-minute follow-up appointments are available as needed throughout your 12-month program. We don’t require you to wait for a predetermined appointment if something needs to be addressed sooner.
Is bloodwork included?
Yes. Baseline bloodwork and follow-up bloodwork at approximately six months are included. Additional investigations may occasionally be clinically indicated and would be discussed with you separately.
Is the medication included in program fee?
No. The program fee covers your clinical care, included laboratory investigations, follow-up appointments and prescription management for 12 months. Medication costs are separate. Private insurance coverage varies by medication, indication and individual plan.
How quickly will I lose weight?
There is no single rate of weight loss that applies to everyone. Response varies based on the medication used, dose, individual physiology, health conditions and other factors. We monitor your progress over time rather than promising a specific amount of weight loss within a specific timeframe.
What happens after 12 months?
Weight management often requires a long-term strategy. As you approach the end of your program, we’ll discuss your progress and next steps, including ongoing treatment and maintenance options when appropriate.
