Tixel 2.

PRECISION IN SKIN REJUVENATION

Tixel 2 is an advanced, non-laser skin resurfacing technology designed to improve fine lines, wrinkles, uneven texture and overall skin quality. Using controlled thermal energy, it stimulates the skin's natural renewal processes to support collagen remodelling and a smoother, more refined appearance.

Unlike traditional lasers, Tixel uses direct thermal contact rather than light energy to create precise microscopic treatment zones. Its customizable settings allow treatment to be tailored to different skin concerns and areas, including the delicate skin around the eyes.

With a specialized eye rejuvenation handpiece and adjustable treatment intensity, Tixel 2 offers a versatile approach to improving visible signs of skin aging with recovery tailored to the treatment performed.

How It Works.

SMOOTHS FINE LINES AND IMPROVES SKIN TEXTURE.

Tixel 2 uses patented Thermal-Mechanical Action (TMA) technology to deliver controlled thermal energy directly to the skin.

The treatment tip features a grid of tiny, heated titanium pyramids that briefly contact the skin, creating precise microscopic treatment zones. This controlled thermal response stimulates skin renewal and supports collagen remodelling, gradually improving the appearance of fine lines, texture and skin quality.

Treatment intensity can be adjusted by modifying the contact time and other device parameters. This allows us to customize the treatment according to the area being addressed, your skin's needs and the desired recovery period.

Unlike laser technologies, Tixel does not rely on light energy to produce its effects. Instead, it uses precisely delivered heat to initiate a controlled skin renewal response.

Why We Love It.

Tixel 2 offers a versatile approach to skin rejuvenation, allowing us to address multiple concerns while tailoring treatment intensity to the individual.

Its ability to improve fine lines, crepey skin and uneven texture makes it a valuable option for patients seeking progressive improvements in skin quality. Treatment can be customized for different areas of the face, including regions where a more delicate approach is required.

One of the features that distinguishes our Tixel 2 is its specialized eye rejuvenation handpiece.

Precision for the delicate eye area

  • the skin surrounding the eyes is particularly delicate and often among the first areas to develop fine lines, crepiness and visible signs of aging.
  • Through controlled thermal stimulation, treatment supports collagen remodelling and may gradually improve the appearance of fine lines, crepey texture and mild skin laxity.

Where It Fits.

Targeted rejuvenation tailored to your skin’s needs.

Tixel 2 occupies a distinct place within our skin resurfacing and rejuvenation technologies.

It may be particularly appropriate for patients whose primary concerns include fine lines, crepey skin, uneven texture and early signs of skin aging. Its adjustable treatment parameters allow us to tailor the intensity and recovery to the area being treated.

For patients requiring more extensive correction of deeper wrinkles, significant acne scarring or advanced photodamage, more intensive resurfacing technologies such as fractional CO₂ may be considered.

Tixel may also be incorporated into a broader treatment plan alongside other skin rejuvenation technologies with appropriate spacing and sequencing.

Your Tixel Treatment.

Your appointment begins with an assessment of your skin, treatment goals and the areas being addressed. Topical numbing may then be applied.

The Tixel handpiece is then systematically across the treatment area. The heated titanium tip makes brief contact with the skin, delivering controlled thermal energy through a series of precise applications.

Most patients describe the sensation as short bursts of heat or prickling. The experience varies depending on treatment intensity, the area being treated and individual sensitivity.

Treatment typically takes approximately 15–30 minutes, depending on the area. Your full appointment may be longer if topical numbing is required.

Following treatment, the skin may appear red and feel warm. Your nurse will review your individualized aftercare instructions and explain what to expect throughout the recovery process.

The Things You Actually Want To Know.

Below are a few common details about our Tixel treatments. Have a specific question? Reach out to us anytime and we'll be happy to help.

Is there any downtime?

Tixel offers customizable treatment intensities, meaning downtime varies depending on the settings used and the area being treated.

Following treatment, you may experience redness, warmth and mild swelling for approximately 24–72 hours. Small grid-like marks, dryness, rough texture or tiny crusts may develop as the skin heals.

More intensive treatments may require approximately 5–7 days or longer for visible recovery. Treatment around the eyes may also produce temporary swelling.

Your nurse will discuss the anticipated recovery period before treatment so you can plan accordingly.

Does It Hurt?

Tixel is generally well tolerated, although the sensation varies with treatment intensity and individual sensitivity.

Most patients describe brief sensations of heat or prickling as the handpiece contacts the skin. Topical numbing may be applied beforehand to improve comfort, particularly for more intensive treatments.

When Will I See Results?

Initial improvements in skin texture and appearance may become noticeable once the skin has completed its early healing process.

As collagen remodelling occurs, improvements in fine lines and overall skin quality develop progressively over the following weeks and months.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

A series of approximately 3–6 treatments, commonly spaced 4–6 weeks apart, may be recommended for progressive skin rejuvenation.

The number of treatments required will depend on your skin, the concern being addressed and your response to treatment.

Some patients may benefit from periodic maintenance treatments to support their results over time.

What Should I Avoid Afterwards?

Following Tixel, your skin requires time to recover from the controlled thermal treatment.

Avoid direct sun exposure, excessive heat, strenuous exercise and activities that may increase irritation during the initial recovery period.

Retinoids, exfoliating acids, scrubs and other potentially irritating skincare should be temporarily discontinued until your skin has recovered and your nurse advises you to resume them.

Do not pick, scratch or exfoliate any developing crusts or rough areas.

Gentle cleansing, appropriate moisturizing and diligent sun protection are essential throughout recovery. You'll receive individualized aftercare instructions based on your treatment settings and skin needs.
